The Barking and Dagenham MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) is a collaborative partnership between our statutory partners and co-located agencies which supports highly effective joint working and decision making for our children and families in Barking and Dagenham. We are looking for a team manager to join an existing team of experienced staff. Our MASH service has a stable and dedicated workforce, and we are proud of our CARES approach, which follows relationship-based practice principles. Our Team Managers are central to driving excellent social work practice and making a positive difference to children, young people and their families in our community. You will be responsible for delivering services to children and young people through the operational management and supervision of social work staff. You will focus on working with Assessment and Family Support and Safeguarding colleagues in managing case transfers, ensuring strong threshold and oversight on every case. You will offer reflective supervision and support the progress and professional development of each member of your team. You will be able to demonstrate what excellent social work practice is, together with sound decision making and threshold knowledge.
Special requirements for this post
We welcome applications from qualified and experienced candidates. You will need to have a Social Work qualification and hold a current SW England registration. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including an Enhanced Children’s Department of Barring Services check.
