Job Title: Nurse Specialist CAMHS
Location: West Lothian Out-Patient Team, St. John’s hospital Livingston.
Hours: 37.0 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered)
Permanent, Band 6
Salary: £39,912 - £48,635 per annum (pro rata)
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking registered mental health or learning disability nurse who wishes to contribute to our vision of “Getting it right for every child” and young person with mental health problems and neurodevelopmental disorder. There are opportunities to develop skills in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health presentations such as eating disorders, mood and psychotic disorders as well as neurodevelopmental disorders. There are excellent opportunities for further career development through our nursing clinical career pathways.
Post holders who are new to CAMHS will have the opportunity to undertake the NES “New to CAMHS” training over a 12 month period. NHS Lothian CAMHS has its own training budget and regularly organises internal and external training events for CAMHS clinicians.
