Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Higher Education (HE) Directorate as an Administrative Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential administrative support to the HE team, ensuring the smooth operation of key activities and processes. The role is part-time, offering 16 hours per week, ideally spread across 3 days, but we are open to considering alternative working patterns.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As an Administrative Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HE Directorate team and ensuring the efficient functioning of the department. Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support to the Director of HE and the HE Directorate team, including handling email, MS Teams, telephone inquiries, and offering advice or referring queries as needed.
Assisting with tasks such as data entry, filing, minute-taking, and record management, particularly related to areas like course design, finance, health and safety, and professional development.
Organising and scheduling meetings, aligning with the Director's diary and assisting with time management.
Supporting the update and maintenance of internal HE documentation, web pages, shared drives, and the course design platform.
Coordinating internal HE audits, supporting the monitoring and evaluation processes, and assisting with cross-college professional development events.
Managing the Performance Review process and helping with the coordination of committee and board meetings, including minute-taking and updating reports.
