Holy Trinity Primary School is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Play Team Supervisor to lead and inspire our children during their midday break. About the Role:
As our Play Team Supervisor, you'll be the heart of our midday break, ensuring the safety, well-being, and joyful play of our pupils. You'll lead a dedicated team, fostering a culture of fun and creativity, both in the dining hall and our exciting outdoor spaces, including our OPAL play areas. This role is all about empowering children to explore, imagine, and develop through play.
What You'll Do:
• Lead & Inspire: Recruit, induct, and manage a fantastic team of play workers, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Champion Play: Support and facilitate meaningful, child-initiated play in line with our OPAL Play Policy, ensuring a rich and diverse range of play opportunities.
• Oversee the midday break, ensuring a safe, happy, and engaging experience for every child, both indoors and out.
• Provide emotional support to children, promoting positive behaviour and social skills.
• Organise & Manage: Create weekly timetables, manage resources, and ensure smooth transitions between activities.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with the Deputy Head, OPAL Curriculum Leader, catering staff, and teaching staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
• Develop & Train: Lead termly meetings, facilitate peer-led play opportunities, and support the development of your team through Opal College training.
• Work with and support our pupil Play Detectives, empowering them to contribute to a positive play environment.
• Oversee first aid provision, manage resources, and ensure compliance with school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour, and anti-bullying.
What You'll Bring:

• A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Working Hours: 26.25 hours per week 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM, Monday to Friday + 1 hour admin time per week.
