About the role
The Requirements Manager will lead the delivery of Requirements and Verification & Validation management for the HS2 OOC Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Fire, and Communication (MEPHFC) Contract throughout the project lifecycle from design to construction and handover.
This role is based in London at Old Oak Common, working on a hybrid basis (3/4 days on-site).
Job description
Duties & responsibilities
1. Lead and manage Requirements and V&V activities for MEPHFC.
2. Develop Verification Validation Matrices (VVMs) to support design assurance.
3. Coordinate with the project team and subcontractors on requirements management throughout all project phases.
4. Assist other disciplines with requirements management tools like DOORS.
5. Identify process improvements in requirements management.
6. Oversee requirements and V&V processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
7. Define the overall Requirements and V&V strategy for the project across disciplines.
8. Deliver assurance communications, staff briefings, and training.
9. Ensure the quality and timeliness of technical deliverables.
10. Analyze and present testing data to stakeholders and managers.
11. Ensure V&V documentation complies with regulations and customer expectations.
12. Author or approve technical documents such as requirements plans and test reports.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Attributes
Essential (minimum for interview):
1. Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience.
2. Experience with MEPHFC Requirements and V&V processes, preferably in rail infrastructure or similar.
3. Knowledge of regulatory and statutory obligations in rail projects.
4. Ability to develop plans, manage workload, and take accountability.
5. Effective collaboration with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
6. Resilience and adaptability under tight deadlines.
7. Experience in requirements allocation and verification & validation.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
