Job Description
This role is available on a part time basis. We are flexible on number of days but all working days will be based on site at our Shirebrook HQ.
As a Commercial Lawyer at Frasers Group you will review, negotiate, draft and advise on a wide range of supplier and business partnership contracts for all areas of the Group’s businesses including: commercial, supply chain, concessions, events, marketing, ecommerce, franchising and licencing, IT & technology, outsourcing and finance.
1. Dealing with commercial disputes and litigation
2. Providing guidance on marketing and promotional activity including CAP code compliance for advertisements, promotions competitions and product packaging, and drafting associated T&Cs for promotions, prize draws and competitions
3. Supporting e-commerce team on legal aspects of digital marketing and website operations
4. Wholesale contracts and concession agreements with suppliers
5. General IP work including licencing of own brands and third party licencing
6. Advising and supporting the customer service team as required on customer complaints and handling disputes and small claims
7. Assisting on larger M&A work as required, coordinating smaller transactions including conducting due diligence investigations, drafting SPA/APAs and ancillary documents and post-completion support.
8. Liaising with enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies such as the ICO, ASA and Trading Standards in relation to regulatory issues and customer complaints.
9. Instructing and managing external lawyers on any work which is in excess of in-house capacity or specialist in nature.
10. Assisting senior members of the legal team on various matters
11. Supervising junior members of the tea
Qualifications
12. Strong experience working within Commercial contract negotiation
13. Qualified and able to hit the ground running using expertise in this sector
14. Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment where priorities are ever changing
15. Excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with those at all levels of an organisation
16. Able to provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice
17. Collaborative approach to work, always take the team with you
