IBM Z Series Security Administrator
Whitehill Resources currently require an experienced IBM Z Series Security Administrator to work with a key client based in Swindon.
*Please note this role is INSIDE IR35 and requires 3 days weekly onsite in Swindon*
Description:
Manage and enhance the security of our IBM Z Series Mainframe environment having strong background in RACF for z/OS and a deep understanding of Mainframe security principles.
Requirements:
. Security Management: Implement and manage security policies and procedures for the IBM Z Series environment.
. RACF Administration: Configure and maintain RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) to ensure secure access control.
. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
. Monitoring and Auditing: Regularly monitor and audit security logs and reports to identify and address potential security threats.
. Incident Response: Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the Mainframe environment.
. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations
Experience Required:
. Proficiency in RACF administration and configuration.
. Strong understanding of z/OS security features and best practices.
. Experience with security auditing and compliance.
. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or IBM Certified Specialist.
