As the Operations Manager, you will manage driver scheduling, route planning, and vehicle maintenance, and maintain strong communication with school staff and parents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Route Planning & Scheduling : Coordinate and optimise routes for efficient and timely student transport, adjusting as needed for student or route changes.
- Team Supervision : Manage a significant team of drivers, providing scheduling, guidance, and support, and conducting regular check-ins to ensure a high standard of service.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure that all drivers adhere to safety regulations and protocols, and promptly address any safety-related issues.
- Vehicle Management : Oversee regular maintenance and inspections for all vehicles, ensuring that they meet safety standards and operate smoothly.
- Record-Keeping : Maintain accurate records, including driver certifications, maintenance logs, and daily transportation reports.
- Budget Oversight : Manage the transportation budget to ensure cost-effective operations and make recommendations for improvements where possible.
- Parent and School Communication : Act as the primary contact for transportation inquiries, working closely with school administrators, parents, and students to address transportation-related concerns.
- Policy Implementation : Develop and enforce transportation policies and procedures to uphold the safety and reliability of service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations or business management, ideally in a large-team setting.
- Familiarity with school transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, parents, and school administrators.
- Ability to manage schedules, prioritise tasks, and make timely decisions.
- Proficiency with basic management software and scheduling tools.
- A valid drivers licence and a clean driving record.
