BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Commercial Manager to work in our Pre-Construction team. Being part of the team, you will play a key part in the work winning and preconstruction phases of large civil engineering projects which will provide critical infrastructure to enable future, renewable developments across Scotland. You will be required to work out of our Kilsyth office getting involved in projects all over Scotland.

Your mission
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
* Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, Regional Commercial Manager, project management and other associated disciplines.
* Be responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, and competency issues.
* Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents.
* Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business.
* Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representatives.
* Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues.
* Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.
* Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and company tied costs.
* Provide input to dispute identification and management.
* Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer's representatives.
* Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts.
* Maintain contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and input to contract documentation.
* Carry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentation.
Who are we looking for?
* Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects and with a minimum of 4 years in this role.
* Joint Venture experience.
* Member of a Professional Institution or working towards application of the ICES, or similar.
* Open collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around you.
* Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification (preferred but not essential).
