Our 53-bed home boasts state-of-the-art amenities, including a coffee shop/bistro, hair and nail salon, beautifully landscaped gardens, and separate dining and lounge areas. We provide exceptional nursing and residential dementia care, supported by advanced care planning and nurse-call technology. We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled chef who is passionate about creating nutritious, delicious meals while contributing to our warm, welcoming environment. As a Chef at Ribble Court, you will: Prepare and deliver high-quality, well-balanced, and appetising meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and preferences. Take ownership of the kitchen's daily operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Support the Head Chef and 2nd Chef in managing the catering team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and creating seasonal dishes with fresh ingredients. Control food costs, handle budgets, and manage stock levels to minimise waste. Place food orders and ensure timely delivery of all required ingredients. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in line with regulatory and internal standards. What We’re Looking For Proven experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally in a care home or similar setting A passion for cooking fresh, home-cooked meals to a high standard. Strong budgeting and recipe costing skills. A positive, approachable attitude and the ability to work as part of a team. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task. A Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain). A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
