Job Description
Brief overview on the role/project:
We are looking for a senior Infrastructure design Engineer with extensive experience support the customer deployable systems across multiple security domains. Role is located on site working directly with the customer/Project lead. This role is heavily collaborative with both the embedded Fujitsu staff and customer stakeholder personnel, you must be able to work within a team and have the autonomy to work independently when required. The engineer will support the customer V1 Change team in the build and roll out of the additional customer V1 nodes and associated user services.
We are looking for dependable and experienced Engineers that are not afraid to own and deliver solutions to issues. The WINTEL Design Services shall include:
* Contribution to the Authority's design and implementation of WINTEL equipment and systems;
* Analysis and evaluation of solutions and applications to enhance the performance and security of WINTEL equipment and systems;
* Liaising and working collaboratively with other Authority Third Parties, Resolver Groups, and any other persons specified by the Authority to implement Service Changes and technical changes and resolve Level 3 WINTEL Incidents, Level 3 WINTEL Problems and Level 3 WINTEL Defects;
* Generating high level designs (HLDs) and low level designs (LLDs) for subsets of System capability;
* Updating Design Documentation to capture changes in the design of services and systems;
* Creating user build guides and configuration instructions for the installation of WINTEL equipment and systems; and
* Provide support to product selection and deployment.
It is expected that the specialists will be centrally based with the CMO Change Engineering team in Corsham where they will be expected to carry out the vast bulk of their work with some work taking place at Colerne or other customer sites. On the occasions that they are required to work off site, then standard T&S can be claimed, once preauthorized. Covering core hours 37 hours per week mainly on customer site.
Skills
* Strong skills in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2016
* Active Directory & Group Policy management, design, and support
* Microsoft HyperV virtualization or VMware experience
* Windows Server technologies: Skype For Business, Exchange 2016, MIM, SharePoint & SQL
* Security technologies such as Trellix AV / ePolicy Orchestrator, DPM, VMM
* Documentation and design, including Agile delivery.
* PowerShell and other scripting experience
* Microsoft SCCM/MECM management, troubleshooting.
