Position
Position: Remote Functional Skills Tutor
Location: National (Remote)
Salary: £24,000 - £29,000, plus up to £6,000 performance-based bonus
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team remotely. As a tutor, you will support and inspire a diverse group of learners, helping them navigate their learning journey and achieve their qualifications. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality, remote teaching that motivates learners to stay on track and complete their functional skills goals.
By combining your expertise in functional skills and your passion for learning support, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons, helping learners progress through their qualifications. You’ll work alongside the Learning Support Manager to support the national delivery of Functional Skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspire and engage learners to achieve functional skills qualifications within set timeframes
* Deliver both group and 1:1 sessions remotely
* Provide additional learning support as needed, ensuring learners' individual needs are met
* Collaborate with operational teams to conduct initial diagnostic assessments for learners
* Use approved resources to deliver impactful functional skills sessions that promote learner success
Requirements
What We Need From You:
* Minimum Level 2 qualification in Functional Skills (English and Maths)
* Relevant teaching and assessor qualifications
* Experience delivering additional learning support
* Proven experience teaching functional skills in a remote setting
* Strong ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to learners’ needs
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
