Description A bit about the role The ITS Security Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and remediating security events to ensure the integrity and security of our information systems. This role involves deploying, configuring, and optimizing security tools, conducting vulnerability assessments, and managing incident response activities. The ITS Security Operations Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to address security concerns, provide compliance advice, and develop security policies and procedures. This position is crucial in maintaining a secure and compliant IT environment, adapting to the rapidly changing security landscape, and supporting the organisation's overall mission of making skills, education, and employment accessible to everyone. Proven experience with MS Sentinel, Defender, Azure, Entra ID, Office 365, DarkTrace, and Upguard. Strong knowledge of information security standards (ISO 27001:2022, ASD ISM, ACSC Essential Eight, PSPF, RFFR). Previous experience with ISO 27001 audits is highly regarded. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with stakeholders. Experience in managing penetration testing and remediation activities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance (AGSVA). Experience with ServiceNow queue management. Project management skills. Ability to adapt to changing security and legislative requirements. Ability to obtain a police check with no disclosable outcomes and Blue Card.
