We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Production Shift Supervisor within our Production Department. In a nutshell, you will be responsible for: As a Production Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day to day running within your area of the business; engaging and leading your team to meet production KPI’s across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Process and People, and contributing to a positive working culture across the plant. What you are already great at: Maintaining the Health, Safety and Wellbeing across your area of the business, and contributing to a Safety-First culture across the plant. Driving Continuous Improvement (CI) across your area of responsibility and making recommendations for improvement to the wider management team. Maintaining standards and being a role model for your team. Leading a team of people within your area of responsibility, motivating them to work as a team to achieve; and responsible for work and labour planning, recruitment, training and development, performance, and absence management, all with a view to driving a high-performance culture. Managing responsibilities within the value stream for all tasks in order to meet delivery production targets, highlighting any areas of concern to the management team. Working with your team to meet production targets, controlling, and minimising the rate of rejection and rework. Controlling Work in Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods inventories. Identifying and undertaking corrective actions on deviations. Analysing key issues affecting equipment within your area of responsibility and taking or organising corrective action. Conducting pre-shift team briefings, team meetings, and contributing to wider management team meetings. For this role we would need you to demonstrate: A proven track record of leading a team within a value stream, including managing recruitment, absence, and performance. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads effectively. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Desirable Previous experience within a Manufacturing environment. Familiarity with IT software including MS Office/ERP systems. Relevant qualifications including IOSH Managing Safely. Shop Floor Lean experience.
