Building Facilities Assistant (Fixed Term)
Location: Dalbeattie Learning Campus
Salary: £8,093.37 - £8,238.62

We will train you to be part of our dynamic and reactive customer-facing building facilities team to provide essential janitorial and cleaning tasks in our local buildings.
We need someone who can work within a small team, work independently, and be self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide essential building safety tasks throughout Dalbeattie Learning Campus.
2. Flexible working hours on Saturdays and Sundays to cover School Lets.
3. Duties include building and grounds access and security, monitoring lets, supporting lets organisers, spot-cleaning between lets, and at day end.
We will provide you with training in cleaning tasks, use of equipment and chemicals, and general health and safety.
You will work 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Times of work will be discussed at the interview.
Good communication skills are essential.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to the formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
This post is fixed term for up to 12 months and may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
