They “punch above their weight” and their highly regarded Energy & Infrastructure team in London works on both renewable and conventional projects, regularly finding itself across the table and often appearing in law firm rankings alongside (or ahead of) much larger Magic Circle and US firms. Their dedicated group contains lawyers who specialise in all of the skill sets needed by industry clients to develop their major energy and infrastructure projects, from financing, corporate/commercial, construction, real estate, and planning. Clients are developers, investors, banks and financiers, and deals are high profile and market-leading. The team has previously hired very successfully from Magic Circle and US law firms, and Associates find they have a very appealing mix of high quality work, good remuneration, and excellent career prospects. The group is now looking for an additional specialist Knowledge Lawyer to ensure that first-class know-how is readily available to the group’s lawyers in order to support them to deliver best-in-class legal services. The role holder will support the English law needs of the firm’s Projects lawyers across its international network, in a broad based role which will include: Know-how and current awareness Template creation/maintenance Training Legal Technology Practice/Client/Business Development Knowledge Management Strategy To be considered for this position you will have Excellent academics; Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales, ideally with training and post-qualification experience gained from a City, or international law firm; A strong academic background, and several years' experience of practising as a Banking & Finance lawyer (project finance experience would be ideal but is not essential); Experience and/or demonstrable interest in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors; The ability to quickly acquire knowledge in, and perform analysis of, developing areas of law and practice; Experience working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving organization; The ability to work collaboratively and be pragmatic and positive in approach; and Attention to detail and a passion for high quality and accuracy; Previous experience as a Knowledge Lawyer is not required, but a passion for knowledge development is essential.
