CRP Group are looking for a Site Supervisor on behalf of their client who are specialists in fencing and vegetation management, working with leading civil engineering contractors, highways authorities and rail networks across the UK. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee our rail vegetation management operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of vegetation along rail corridors, promoting safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of vegetation management practices, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders. The key responsibilities of the Site Supervisor will be: Lead and manage a team of vegetation management personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols. Plan, coordinate, and oversee vegetation management projects, including tree trimming, brush clearing, and invasive species control, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Enforce safety regulations and best practices on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring all team members are equipped with the necessary safety gear and training. Monitor the quality of work performed by the team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of vegetation management activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Communicate project updates, address concerns, and foster positive relationships. Ensure that all vegetation management practices are environmentally responsible and comply with regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project progress, safety incidents, and compliance with environmental regulations. Prepare reports for management and stakeholders as required. The succesful Site Supervisor will have/ be: Proven experience in vegetation management, forestry, or a related field, preferably within the rail industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in vegetation management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in using technology and software for project management and reporting. Relevant certifications in Arboriculture and Site Safety.
