37.5 hours per week - flexible working 8.00 am - 8.00 pm. This busy X-Ray Department based at LUFT has a full-time band 2 receptionist/clerical officer post available to work cross site at Aintree and Litherland Health Centre. This post will involve working as part of our reception/clerical team encompassing all the reception desks of the Directorate.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out reception and administration duties, inputting and extracting data onto the patient administration system (PAS) and the departmental CRIS system (Computerised Radiology Information System, CRIS).
2. Searching the patient database for existing records, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
3. Rotating to all areas of the Radiology department, including Main X-ray, CT/MR, Ultrasound, A+E X-ray, and Nuclear Medicine.
4. Handling enquiries from medical staff, other hospitals, GP's, and members of the public.
5. Dealing with telephone and direct communication enquiries from the public and other health professions.
6. Sending and retrieval of faxes on a daily basis.
7. Co-operating with and providing assistance to all medical, nursing and other hospital staff.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant's DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £23 (standard disclosure) or £43 (enhanced disclosure) will be deducted from salary in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment. Bank posts require upfront payment. DBS applications submitted from 2nd December will be subject to the new DBS fee of £26.50 (standard) and £54.50 (Enhanced).

Minimum requirements for candidates:
* Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills to provide an optimum level of customer service to patients, both in person and over the telephone.
* Self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, and enjoy working with a diversity of people.
* A kind, efficient, and respectful approach, remaining calm and professional in a busy Imaging Department.
* Training will be given for the Radiology System. NHS experience is desirable.
Essential criteria:
* Experience of dealing with confidential matters.
* Experience of working in a busy office.
* Computer / typing skills RSA2/equivalent.
* GCSE/Equivalent.
