About Our Client
My client is a growing FMCG business passionate about their people! They have a growth plan over the next 3-5 years and have a fascinating brand and product.
Job Description
1. Produce and communicate accurate and reliable production plans to maximise sales and service while minimising cost per unit. This includes materials, labour, and line planning and scheduling, requiring liaison with production, hygiene, engineering, and external parties including customers, hauliers, and suppliers.
2. Download orders from customers and update production plans, making any necessary changes and communicating with 3rd parties.
3. Monitor progress against the production plan, ensuring we are where we think we are.
4. Purchase flour for both sites, ensuring we have the right amount at the right time and communicate with suppliers.
5. Communicate our transport requirements to our hauliers, ensuring we have the right number of lorries at the right time, and manage communication with all parties when things are not according to plan, including establishing cost-effective vehicle scheduling and managing issues that may impact this.
6. Assist with ensuring we always have enough baskets on site to ensure effective running and liaise with all 3rd parties regarding collections to address any significant changes in requirements.
7. Ensure baskets are collected in the most cost-effective method possible, monitoring average collection cost per basket and liaising with 3rd parties to optimise vehicle/fill, collection points, etc., to drive down the average cost per basket.
8. Engage senior management if there are any significant issues affecting any of the above being achieved.
9. Assist with the implementation of new systems and processes that help with the smooth running of the operation while also building a robust planning process for the future business.
10. Establish robust processes that ensure effective running during weekends and holidays, ensuring people know what to do in exceptional circumstances.
