Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be working across three practices within Inverness and will be part of a well-established team providing nurse consults, theatre nursing, and inpatient care. You will be supported by our team of Veterinary Care Assistants and a dedicated dispensary assistant so your time can be utilized doing what you do best. All our nurses are encouraged to grow their skills and the team size means you will get time to learn from each other.
Rota patterns that work for you

Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. Our shift length is eight hours, and we are open Monday to Saturday. The rota includes working 40 hours per week over 5 days. We have three sites within Inverness so you will get to enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy surgical site and the peacefulness of consulting only surgeries. No two days are the same giving you a varied workload and a good mix of cases.

Our team here consists of 14 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses including 2 Student Nurses. Our clinical team are supported by Veterinary Care Assistants, a Pharmacy Dispenser, and a very competent front desk team and Office Support Staff. Two of our vets are currently studying for a certificate. We have three veterinary practices in the city of Inverness providing exceptional first opinion care to dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and exotic animals.
We have a fantastic, close-knit team who celebrate each other's successes and support one another during the tough times too. At Crown Vets, we are fortunate to have a fantastic team who strive to create a positive working environment and build strong relationships within the team. We have regular staff events, activities, and days out, but nothing brings us together like fundraising for our local community. Over the years we have raised over £12,000, completed a 24-hour kennel stay, a 12-hour bike-a-thon, and the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course. We have also raised funds to provide 50 pet oxygen masks to Highland fire stations, outdoor community accessible defibrillators at our 3 sites, and have created our own pet food bank to distribute throughout our local area.
