Electrical Service Engineer

As an Electrical Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Problem solving and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and control systems for MOJ and other security clients.
2. Repairing issues found during maintenance visits.
3. Constantly observing for potential health and safety issues at work.
4. Conducting electrical installation, commissioning, and small project work.
5. Promptly reporting maintenance visits and call outs to the manager and suggesting solutions for unresolved issues.
6. Liaising with customers about the technical aspects of maintenance visits or project works.
7. Maintaining a good relationship with customers’ engineers during maintenance visits and promoting Bilfinger’s brand.
8. Identifying areas of concern on existing equipment and suggesting possible solutions and improvements.
9. Specifying parts required for call outs, projects, or maintenance.
10. Supporting and shadowing new starters to ensure they understand service activities.
11. Keeping all security vetting requirements up to date for clients including MOJ, NHS, Police services, and Nuclear clients.
12. Carrying out preventive maintenance checks and inspections of control equipment, diagnosing and rectifying any faults found.
13. Testing equipment and installation and commissioning of control systems on site.
14. Troubleshooting problems over the phone as well as attending sites to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship
* BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* IPAF Licence
* ECS/CSCS Card with Appropriate Qualifications
* Desirable: 2391 Test and Inspection
Online access (Broadband) will be required from your home to access the company’s intranet and file server.
