About the role:
We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who specialises in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our friendly and supportive team. You’ll play an essential role in creating a nurturing environment, working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to help students reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real impact on students’ lives, helping them build confidence and independence.nAs an SEN TA, you will be part of a close-knit community, guiding children through their educational journey, offering not only academic support but also emotional and social encouragement. This role offers a unique blend of teaching and therapy, with every day bringing new experiences and rewards.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with SEMH or similar special needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young learners.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and adapting to different needs.
• A background in a related field (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students’ learning and emotional development through individualized strategies.
• Collaborating with therapists to integrate therapeutic activities into the classroom.
• Assisting teachers in managing classroom dynamics and adapting lesson plans.
• Encouraging positive behavior and social interaction.
• Observing and documenting progress to inform ongoing care.
