As an HVAC Engineer, you will be in charge of the following activities:
Technically overseeing the HVAC equipment contract part of the project with a specific focus on equipment follow-up, in close collaboration with the layout and HVAC system teams, the contractor, as well as with the client.
Carrying out the surveillance of detailed studies provided by the Contractor relating to the Control & Instrumentation documentation.
Carrying out the surveillance of detailed studies provided by the Contractor and associated manufacturing (surveillance of drawings, procurement specifications, manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, and testing procedures).
Serving as the representative of the Responsible Designer HVAC contract team in various meetings with the client and the supplier.
Reporting on the progress of equipment technical open points during fortnightly dedicated meetings with the contractor and the client.
Monitoring contractor's deliverables related to handover activities (Seismic calculation notes, HVAC Release Report, and HVAC database).
Tracking the key milestones for building handovers.
Coordinating and conducting technical assessments of the Contractor requests as Non-Conformance Reports, Exemption Requests, Technical Queries.
Coordinating and conducting technical assessments of the impacts of Contractor Change Requests.
Managing the processing of modifications, including monitoring progress, using performance indicators, and generating reports when needed.
Updating the HVAC database and managing CTS (Change Transfer Sheet) issues to the client according to the schedule.

This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Knowledge and experience of Control & Instrumentation activities in a nuclear context.
Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing (AHU, fans, filters, water coils).
HVAC knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles.
Knowledge of UK licensing requirements for a nuclear reactor.
Knowledge and experience of PDMS, E3D, Navisworks.
Experience working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site.
Experience in project configuration management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and to deal with different stakeholders, confident in communicating within an international environment and proactive in developing positive working relations with others within the project.
Knowledge of nuclear safety classification.
French-speaking and reading would be an advantage.
