Purpose of the role
To lead and supervise the Community Team in the day to day running of TDAS Community Service. To ensure the provisions of a flexible range of services for adults who have suffered domestic abuse living in the Trafford community. To support and line manage a team of DA Advisors and group facilitators to provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse. To be the lead in crisis situations and provide advice and guidance on child protection issues and information sharing concerns. To consult with all service users and stakeholders, in order to evaluate and improve the community service to meet the needs of adults affected by domestic abuse.
Main Duties
1. Line management of Community team members to include recruitment, performance management, coaching & support and implementing formal employment procedures
2. Carry out case management including regular file audits & reports to ensure compliance with contract reporting requirements
3. Co-ordinate the capturing of data to ensure the work of the Community team is evidenced and outcome based.
4. Allocating cases within the team and analysing stats and data to monitor daily caseloads against resources and look for trends/pattern of behaviour.
5. Responsibility for data security, data sharing and systems management for the Community team
6. Responsibility for quality assuring safeguarding paperwork and ensuring it complies to the service standards and safeguarding protocol
7. Manage and coordinate the referral processes and support provision for Medium Risk Victims of domestic abuse
8. Working closely with the Senior DAA to Quality assure all referrals into the service
9. Blockages/barriers to step-down are identified and improved pathways developed through partnership working
10. Responsible for implementing processes across the service as identified by the Service Manager as part of our quality assurance and accreditation requirements
11. Ensure that there is a consistent delivery of services to survivors, including risk assessment, safety planning, referrals to other agencies and MARAC by allocating and monitoring work across the team.
12. Ensure that risk assessment and risk management procedures are followed at all times, prioritising those most at risk.
13. Support and co-supervise the volunteers and students allocated to the Community Service.
14. Support the Services Manager on reporting and delivery of Outcomes as highlighted in funders requirements.
15. Liaise and work in conjunction with TDAS senior management team to provide a holistic support service to families across all TDAS services.
16. Access regular feedback from service users to ensure the continued improvement of services and support offered to children and young people by TDAS.
17. To deliver awareness raising sessions to the public on domestic abuse and its effects on families
18. To cover any staff absences and temporary gaps to ensure continuity of service delivery for Community Service
19. Support the Services Manager with the set up and project management of new services
20. To plan and manage own workload working on own initiative, often in times of crisis

promote and support the development of TDAS.
2. To adhere to TDAS Code of Conduct at all times.
3. To attend staff meetings when required
4. To work in line with, and follow, the policies and procedures of TDAS.
5. To ensure that all TDAS policies and procedures are implemented and
promoted by staff.
6. To actively promote diversity in the organisation.
7. To act as an ambassador for and represent the TDAS at external
functions.
8. To represent TDAS on local and regional forums.
9. To build positive relationships and partnerships with key local agencies
10. To embody TDAS’s values and act as a role model.
11. To participate actively in the management team, contributing to the strategic development of the organisation.
12. To undertake any other duties as may be deemed consistent with the requirements of the post.
Application Criteria and Process
To apply for this position, it is essential that you have Managerial experience (ideally in a social welfare or health organisation) and substantial experience of working with a range of services to coordinate the support for service users experiencing domestic abuse.
