About the role …
The HSE Advisor role reports directly to the Lead HSE Advisor while working very closely with the local account leads and team. You will be responsible for creating local strategy that feeds into the wider department. This role will look after our Severn Trent Water account; it is a hybrid position with working from home and on site. We are open to candidates based in The Midlands area as your head office will be either Telford or Coventry.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Providing professional advice, challenge, and intervention regarding health and safety matters to account personnel - predominantly operations managers, supervisors, and operatives.
* Conducting audits and inspections in accordance with the account audit plan.
* Assisting the contract leadership team monitor health and safety performance.
* Maintaining dialogue with client health and safety practitioners on day-to-day operational safety and strategic matters.
* Assisting and prompting effective incident reporting and updates in line with company, legal and client requirements.
* Overseeing the reviews of task risk assessments and safe working practices documented in the method statements.
The skills/qualifications we look for:
* NEBOSH Qualification.
* Environmental Awareness qualification is not essential but desirable.
* Good interpersonal and management skills.
