Our team in Leeds currently has an opening for a Purchasing Import Planner (UK & ROW).
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As Purchasing Import Planner, you will be part of the Brenntag UK, Beauty & Care team based at the office in Leeds.
This role is responsible for purchasing specialty chemicals for the Beauty & Personal Care, and Homecare, Industrial and Institutional Cleaning markets, from suppliers across the UK and countries outside of Europe.
This role requires managing the complete supplier cycle, ensuring orders are tracked and delivered on time into a third-party warehouse. This includes sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, maintaining accurate records and documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a detailed understanding of supply chain management. Import experience in purchasing and inventory control is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
* Promoting a positive and professional image of Brenntag.
* Responsible for purchasing from UK and suppliers outside of Europe.
* Raising Purchase Orders in accordance with stock requirements.
* Ensuring Purchase Order Invoices variances are identified and resolved.
* Communicating with the customer services and sales teams with confirmed incoming delivery dates.
* Booking transport together with the third-party warehouse.
* Preparing Import Clearance documentation.
* Checking documentation (Invoices, Bill of Ladings, COAs) to ensure there are no errors or discrepancies.
* Checking and monitoring the total landed product cost and communicating any unforeseen price variances to the wider team.
* Liaising with the warehouse to ensure incoming deliveries and export orders are managed effectively.
* Running and utilizing reports to manage stock effectively.
* Reviewing re-order levels on a regular basis to ensure stock levels are maintained based on changing demand.
* Reviewing and monitoring stock levels based on company policy.
* Liaising with Industry Market Managers to review stock requirements and understand supplier relationships.
* Ensuring all customs entries are completed by required deadlines.
* Maintaining administrative records.
