Job Role: Production Line Leader Salary: £24,570 Location: Leicestershire Type: Full-Time / Permanent Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday Overview: Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Production Team Leader on behalf of a leading ready meals manufacturing business. This is a key role in managing the day-to-day production operations while ensuring efficient material supply, labour management, and compliance with Health & Safety standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Production Team Leader to drive production efficiency and develop the team to meet quality and operational targets. Key Responsibilities: Manage stock levels within the Production Department, organise stock counts, rotate stock, and oversee goods inward to ensure efficient material supply. Liaise with Production Planning to assist in preparing effective production plans and order raw materials to agreed specifications. Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs, focusing on product quality, despatch processes, and compliance with Health & Safety standards. Regularly review wastage and yield targets and take necessary action to optimise efficiencies. Complete or oversee the completion of accurate daily paperwork. Monitor and control the department’s labour requirements in line with capacity and payroll budgets. Assist in interviewing and onboarding new staff members. Identify training needs and ensure that all staff are skilled to perform their duties to the required standard. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Hygiene legislation within the department’s operations. Use team briefings, taste panels, and training sessions to regularly communicate department performance against KPIs. Support customer liaison activities by investigating material for customer complaints and assisting in new product development. Ensure thorough investigation and resolution of disciplinary issues within the department. Essential Requirements: Strong commercial awareness with a commitment to people, quality, and profit.
