Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an administrator to work within our busy Audiology Department in Weymouth, Dorset .
The main function of the Audiology Service is to provide NHS hearing aid services throughout Dorset and we are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills to join our friendly admin team.
This post is for hours per week over 4 or 5 days. Job share or other working patterns may be considered but any changes must meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
The role includes dealing with a range of telephone queries, arranging appointments, managing patient correspondence, data inputting and problem solving. In addition to dealing with patients (face to face and over the telephone), a key part of this role is to provide administrative support to the clinical team to enable them to run their clinics effectively.
Applicants must have competent IT and administration skills and have the ability to manage a busy workload and to work calmly under pressure. Applicants must also be able to communicate clearly and sympathetically with hearing impaired will need to be highly organised with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering a customer focused service. This is a very busy department and you will be required to effectively manage multiple and diverse work streams.
