We have a fantastic opportunity available for an IT Manager to join us at Scotland's leading Dental Group on a full-time basis. Clyde Munro is a fast-paced organisation, expanding across Scotland, and we are now looking for an IT Manager. This is an exciting time to join Clyde Munro as we continue to grow, with the pace and diversity of the group throwing up new and exciting challenges on a daily basis.
Your Role
You will take overall responsibility for the management and integrity of the group’s IT and communications infrastructure. Duties include but are not limited to:
1. User support – working with established third-party partner, establish and manage processes to provide support for internal users on hardware, software and systems problems.
2. Server / system operation & maintenance - ensure all internal servers / systems and cloud-based systems are operating correctly, are updated accordingly and are backed up daily, managing user access and security. Carry out occasional vital maintenance and installation tasks as necessary.
3. Configuration – oversee the installation and configuration of desktop / server / communication environments.
4. 3rd party supplier management – liaising with 3rd parties including phone / broadband service, software and hardware providers and key maintenance partner ensuring that services meet business requirements and are cost effective.
5. Continuous improvement - keep up to date with new and changing technology both internally to the company and in the wider world of IT. Seek opportunities for improvements to internal systems and recommend solutions to the Senior Leadership Team.
6. Project management – working collaboratively with business stakeholders to make recommendations and then implementing IT projects that add real value to the business.
7. Compliance – ensure all corporate IT security policies and standard operating procedures reflect current legislative and business requirements. Provide training and encouragement to ensure that colleagues adhere to these.
8. Administration & documentation – maintain good records, produce KPI data and other reports as needed.
9. Audit - Principal contact to answer questions on the Group’s IT environment within the annual audit.
10. Budget Management – Budget holder responsible for IT spend across the group.
About You
Essential
1. In-person IT user support experience.
2. Excellent understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office applications incl. Office 365.
3. Excellent understanding of Microsoft Entra (Azure) and Purview for security and compliance in MS365 environment.
4. Experience of installing, supporting and administering Windows Server operating systems.
5. Full UK driving license is required as you must be able to travel to our practices across Scotland (mileage costs will be covered).
Desirable
1. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power Apps, including Power BI and MS Forms.
2. Experience of creating and managing file sharing and data management sites using SharePoint.
3. 2+ years’ experience managing an IT function (ideally in a multi-site SME).
4. Experience of working in a healthcare environment interacting with the NHS.
