Position: Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer
Reports to: Contracts Manager
Location: Westbury

Role Objective:
To carry out fixed wire Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on a wide variety of projects, to be able to spot faults with any systems and resolve them, along with any additional customer issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out inspection and testing on customer’s electrical installations (EICRs), including Emergency Lighting testing and remedial repairs as required.
2. Complete all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection and testing.
3. Ensure all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time.
4. Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault finding and rewiring.
5. Assess the materials and hours required to carry out repairs and feed back reports to the office.
6. Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial, industrial, agricultural and domestic electrical systems and ensure installations are to manufacturer’s standards.
7. Ensure good quality workmanship, which upholds Company standards, complies with building codes and follows safety requirements.
8. Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction.
9. Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer queries.
10. Install electrical systems to current BS 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
11. Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
12. Scheduled on the on-call rota, to attend sites and provide emergency electrical support.
13. Any other electrical duties outside of core working hours, as requested by the Manager.
Person Specification:
1. SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualification.
2. City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
3. City & Guilds 2391/2394 and 2395 qualification.
4. Able to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
5. Knowledge of BS 7671: 18th Edition and 2:2022 Regulations.
6. Previous electrical experience of working in an electrical testing environment.
7. Numerically proficient with excellent attention to detail.
8. Friendly and approachable with a flexible attitude, good customer focus and service.
9. Proven delivery of results.
10. Knowledge of Policies, Processes and Procedures including Safety.
11. Team player with above-average interpersonal and written communication skills.
12. Full UK driver’s licence.
