Description Join us as our strategic People Partner within our General Merchandise People Team, supporting on our B&Q contract. You will partner with our senior leadership team and work closely with the site people teams, providing professional people support and guidance for the B&Q network, covering all aspects of a generalist people role including employee relations, employee life cycle and strategic people planning. This is a great opportunity that focuses on our culture and will be continuous improvement focused as we continue to shape our culture and performance of our people. This role allows for stretch and growth with overall responsibility and accountability for our B&Q contract whilst also supporting wider projects/ initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Support all B&Q locations across the network with a first-class people service. Play an active role and be a full contributor to both the operational and people agenda. Support and guide our people teams on sites to drive resource planning, talent development, capability, and business change activities. Partner with the B&Q senior leadership team to lead on the people strategy and support growth for our customers business. Maintain exceptional customer relationships across all areas of the B&Q business. Support a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that delivers exceptional value to our customers. Provide support, guidance and counsel to colleagues, customers and people teams on complex employee relations cases and its application, escalating where necessary. Support the people teams in driving the delivery of improvements in key people metrics and KIP’s i.e. Engagement, Absence, Retention, Internal Development, Recruitment and Productivity Lead, manage and develop people teams, creating a high performing team culture. Support senior people leaders and contribute to corporate wide operational people projects. You will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services or processes. Support the people teams with implementation of new technologies, systems and ways of working as appropriate. Actively challenge norms and practices to bring about improvements, rejecting poor standards in any circumstances. Note: Role requires travel across Worksop, Doncaster, Branston and Swindon. LI-Hybrid What will you bring to our team? • Proven excellence experience in building strong relationships with key stakeholders. • Generalist HR multi-site leadership experience, along with supporting/ delivering with HR projects and delivery (CIPD Qualified). • Passionate to deliver and improve D&I and wellbeing agenda. • Track record of success gained in a fast-paced, cost-conscious and customer focused business • An understanding of how to build organisational capability through effective talent management, succession planning and learning and development. • Credibility to interact with senior stakeholders and customers, whilst being strategic focused and hands on with operational capacity.
