Office Manager About CoVar CoVar is a small AI/ML R&D software company in Durham, NC, that uses artificial intelligence to solve problems that matter. We develop AI/ML tools to help the DoD detect enemies and threats, and help biomedical researchers find new cures for diseases. About this position You will support the office through a multitude of tasks, ranging from purchasing to hosting events, to coming up with solutions as problems arise. Below are some examples of the kinds of tasks you may be asked to do. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. Purchasing, ensuring employees receive orders, and completing expense reports Stocking break room Mail sorting, scanning, distributing Shipping packages Ordering catering and assisting with hosting Assisting with planning events like company outings and our annual summer and winter celebrations Hosting customers, scheduling dinners Facilitating contact with vendors – maintenance requests, construction companies, etc. Qualifications Applicants should have experience working in a dynamic environment that requires superb organizational and time management skills. They should be excellent communicators and be skilled multitaskers. At least two years of previous experience in an office management or executive assistant role is preferred.
