As part of our Corporate Service Support function, we are looking to recruit a Systems and Data Administrator for an 18-month fixed-term period to our Intelligence and Systems Team. The Intelligence and Systems Team provides the critical coordination and analytical capability which underpins the Highways and Environmental Services’ (HES) various operations, including waste and street cleaning, street lighting, and highways.
About the Role
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* Day-to-day management of core database systems
* Provide ongoing support and advice to HES Service Officers
* Identify and deliver training to users on the use of the system
* Develop and maintain system and data management procedures and user guides
* Assist with the development and implementation of relevant systems, including system configuration and making recommendations on possible enhancements
* Manage and develop system processes, including effective data collection methods
* Coordinate the flow of information between HES and the general public
About the Candidate
We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate with excellent IT skills and good analytical skills, especially in the use of Excel, and the ability to translate this information into reports. You will need to have excellent attention to detail to ensure a high level of accuracy in monitoring, analysing, and presenting data. Good interpersonal and communication skills will be required as the role will involve liaising with HES Service Officers and other clients and officers on processes and relevant system developments.
