Paralegal (Private Client)
Location: Bexleyheath Office (with travel to Dartford and Orpington as needed)

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join a respected law firm’s Private Client team, where your expertise in drafting Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney will directly contribute to delivering exceptional legal services to a diverse client base. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of the Private Client Division and focus on taking client instructions during scheduled appointments, primarily related to straightforward Wills. Your expertise in drafting these documents quickly and efficiently will be a key part of your success. You will also be required to travel between the firm’s three office locations in Bexleyheath, Dartford, and Orpington, as needed to serve the firm’s diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft, explain, and submit Wills for client approval, ensuring a prompt turnaround - ideally same day or within 24 hours.
* Present the firm’s accounts for immediate settlement following the preparation of client documents.
* Refer more complex inquiries (such as those involving trusts or Inheritance Tax advice) to senior members of the team.
* Advise clients on Lasting Powers of Attorney, assist with their preparation, and handle their registration post-signature.
* Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, with a diligent work ethic, able to work both independently and collaboratively within the team.
* Manage a busy caseload with strong organisational skills, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time.
* Travel between the firm’s offices in Dartford, Bexleyheath and Orpington to meet clients, as needed.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience as a Paralegal in a Private Client team with a strong focus on drafting and writing Wills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach to communication.
* Excellent PC literacy, accurate keyboard skills, and proficiency with office systems.
* Attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
* A law degree or LPC qualification is preferred, but not essential.
* Must be willing to travel between offices and manage client meetings at various locations.
