We are looking for a Production Operative to join our team in Cambridge. You will play a key role in our precious metal recovery process, working closely with the research team to ensure accurate sampling and tracking. This is a practical, hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a commitment to health and safety, and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.
Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for a new leaching process, inc. sample intake, material tracking, equipment maintenance, health and safety and experiment execution.
2. Loading, emptying and monitoring process vessels.
3. Operating filter press and other filtration equipment as required. (Full training will be provided)
4. Data input – inputting information from the owned process onto shared documents for tracking.
5. Helping hand - being generally available to assist colleagues across departments.
6. Maintaining Health and Safety standards.
7. Maintenance of general machinery, and process related equipment.
8. Lab assistance - providing non-technical support for lab staff, including sample collection, data input and maintaining a clean and safe lab work area.
What We’re Looking For
1. Previous experience in a production or recycling environment.
2. Basic Chemistry knowledge (desirable but not essential).
3. Supporting team members.
4. Happy to work in isolation and as part of a team.
5. Forklift experience (desirable but not essential).
6. A practical, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious approach to work.
