Main Purpose
To install, maintain and repair pumping equipment including associated systems within industrial, commercial and domestic environments.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Carry out maintenance, reactive and installation work in line with current standards, ensuring first class quality of work.
2. Perform full test and inspection of all works ensuring equipment is fully functional as required.
3. Operate using safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc., in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of Pump Action.
4. Provide day-to-day communication with line manager and colleagues to ensure workload and works are understood and delivered effectively.
5. Provide technical support and assistance to other PA employees as and when required.
6. Operate effectively and in a timely manner the PA electronic Job card - update and close off process.
7. Take part in the out of hours on-call rota.
8. Ensure any accidents or incidents are reported to line manager as soon as practical.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications
1. City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical engineering.
2. A minimum of at least 3 years relevant post-apprenticeship experience (not all essential).
3. Experience with booster sets, pressurisation units, sump sets, thermal expansion, sewage - drainage stations, HVAC and associated pumping equipment, system commissioning, and grease removal systems.

1. Good communication and organisational skills; able to work in a methodical and calm manner.
2. Able to work under pressure and to specified deadlines.
3. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail during works.
4. Self-motivated and able to work alone without constant supervision, or with an apprentice as required.
5. Ability to use own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a supervisor or line manager.
6. Ability to work under pressure to achieve required Client Service Level.
7. Full driving licence.
8. Presentable and able to undertake duties in line with management's recommendations, instructions, company policy, and in accordance with client requirements.
