We are looking for a Facilities Technician to join our team based at the Maltings. The role will involve taking care of our facilities and carrying out cleaning and light maintenance duties. The position is offered on a part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
2. Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities (Water testing and Cleaning schedule)
3. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
4. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs (Utilizing in house reporting system)
5. Make adjustments and minor repairs (Pool cars included)
6. Stock and maintain supply rooms
7. Cooperate with line managers and peers groups
8. Follow all health and safety regulations
9. Assist front of house staff with supply and distribution requirements and other ancillary activities as directed by front of house staff and line manager
10. Assist trade teams staff when required
Skills and Experience:
1. Proven work experience as a Facilities Technician +1 year
2. Ability to handle cleaning equipment such as buffers/vacuums and other ancillary pieces of equipment to perform tasks designated to them (Training provided where skill gaps are identified)
3. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies/correct storage
4. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Assessments
5. Full understanding of organisation and own risk assessments/ability to contribute to risk assessments
6. Ability to follow instruction and carry out said instructions in a timely manner
