Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Modeller to join our team and make an impact. The successful individual will lead the enhancement of existing Financial Planning models in Anaplan, including being the key SME to bring to bear Anaplan functionality and the esure data capabilities to transform the financial reporting, MI and integrated forecasting for esure.
Day-to-Day:
1. Collaborate with the Head of FP&A and Commercial team to run and improve the Financial Planning and Forecasting model, delivering an agile, high-quality solution.
2. Optimize processes for usability, efficiency, adaptability, and robustness of the Anaplan model.
3. Identify and prioritise forecasting enhancements to meet business and regulatory needs.
4. Work from a requirements' backlog with minimal direction, ensuring strong change control.
5. Collaborate with Business teams to align financial models with business assumptions.
6. Assist in running efficient and accurate forecast cycles.
7. Support the development of solutions to create a fast-moving CFO function.
8. Understand the full forecasting process, from data sources to P&L, balance sheet, and solvency outputs.
9. Train, support, and develop model users, sharing proven methods and providing task coverage.
10. Support the Finance Team to mitigate risks from single points of failure.
Qualifications
1. Qualified accountant with insurance/financial services experience.
2. Big 4 experience preferred.
3. Extensive Anaplan financial modelling experience; Tableau and Databricks experience beneficial.
4. Proficiency in data structuring.
5. Ability to manage tasks quickly and accurately under pressure.
6. Strong communicator, capable of explaining sophisticated topics to all partners.
7. Highly organized, able to work across teams and environments while maintaining precision.
