The Role:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to complete day-to-day engineering activities, working collaboratively with supporting functions to achieve the company's objectives.
The successful candidate will work closely with production teams to enhance processes, reduce manufacturing times, and support the quality department in resolving customer complaints or addressing in-house quality issues.

Responsibilities:
Production tooling jig, fixture design & manufacture.
Complete product manufacture costing/estimating, generated from sales enquiries.
Provide technical engineering support for all business functions through the management of engineering projects.
Design, develop, and maintain automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and software solutions.
Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver effective solutions.
Monitor and analyse system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Working the continuous improvement and quality team using appropriate tools such as SPC, PFMEA, DoE, Pareto Analysis, etc., to achieve overall business objectives of process/material cost reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement and lead time reduction.
To investigate flow/workplace organisation (plant layout, 5S, etc.) plant wide and make recommendations for improvement.
To liaise with contractors & suppliers to manage production projects.
Undertake root cause analysis and work with other team members in developing appropriate training for all personnel to ensure that route causes are found and eliminated.
Work closely with Production Managers and Supervisors to help with everyday production/quality problems.
The Candidate:
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following skills and abilities:
Will hold a BTEC, HNC or bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, automation engineering)
Excellent manufacturing knowledge and terminology.
Previous experience with design and production of tooling jigs desired.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
High level of proficiency in MS Office.
Experience in the use of CAD, preferably SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Proven experience in developing and implementing automation systems (desirable).
Familiarity with robotics, sensors, and industrial IoT technologies (desirable).
