Catshill First School & Nursery is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive school community. You will play a vital role in nurturing students’ wellbeing, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils.
2. Provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
3. Provide 1:1 support for identified pupils as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent for Teaching Assistants.
2. GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
3. Experience of working with children and young people in an Early Years setting.
4. Experience of working with children in a First/Primary School.
5. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and resilient nature.

Hours: 10 hours per week, Term Time only
Salary: TA2, Points 5-6 (£24,709 p.a. - £25,183 p.a.) Pro Rata Salary - £5,711 p.a. - £5,821 p.a.
