A new opportunity has opened up for a motivated Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a growing team based in the Leeds/Bradford area. This role offers the unique chance to work closely with the director on a wide range of challenging geo-environmental projects. As part of a small team, you'll have the opportunity for significant influence and responsibility early on, being able to learn directly from seasoned experts and fast-track your development.
This role is particularly suited to individuals with ground investigation experience who are eager to expand their skills in report writing, interpretive analysis, and technical assessments.
As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in all technical phases of our projects while also enhancing your commercial and financial management skills. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting desk studies and site walkovers
2. Performing ground investigations and land quality assessments
3. Preparing interpretive reports and risk assessments
4. Designing and validating remediation strategies
Geo-Environmental Engineer Specification:
1. A 1st degree in geology, engineering geology, geotechnics, geo-environmental engineering, or a related geoscience field
2. Experience in the UK, specifically with phase 1 & 2 site investigations, including soil and rock sample logging and site monitoring
3. Strong ability to deliver factual and interpretive reports
