Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
Trafford General Hospital, part of Manchester Foundation Trust, is seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate MRI radiographer to join our imaging team.
We scan a range of complex MRI scanning procedures across our main site at Trafford General Hospital, which has a Siemens SOLA 1.5T, and our CDC site at Withington Community Hospital, which also has a Siemens SOLA 1.5T.
The MR Department consists of a friendly and compassionate team with patient care at the forefront of imaging practice. We work a 7-day week, rotating across both sites on 11.5 working hours per shift with no night shifts and on-call.
You will be expected to work a 12-hour shift (11.5 working hours) across a 7-day working pattern.

2. Assess the patients' condition and adapt technique accordingly. Communicate highly complex information and inform relatives and carers when necessary of the procedure being undertaken.
3. Analyse complex tasks or situations requiring interpretation or comparison of a range of options. Possess specialist skills for assessing acute and other patient conditions, adapting MR parameters to complex cases.
4. Take responsibility wherever you are working if the modality leads are not present and supervise junior staff to ensure the department is working safely and efficiently.
5. Empathise and reassure patients who are worried, anxious, or reluctant to undergo the procedure by providing thoughtful and constructive responses to their questions.
6. Be competent in all MR specialist techniques and in the use of all specialist equipment used in MR following appropriate training.
