What you will be doing: As a qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will ensure people who are living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries, are provided with a high level of personal and rehabilitative care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork. The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:
1. Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users.
2. Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
3. Providing mentorship and support to team members.
4. Observing, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
Skills and knowledge you will have:
1. A relevant nursing qualification.
2. NMC registration.
3. Strong team-working skills.
4. A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach.
5. A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate.

Where you will be working: Location: The Dean Neurological Centre, Tewkesbury Road, Longford, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, GL2 9EE. The Dean Neurological Centre has 60 beds in Gloucester (GL2 9EE), which is on the outskirts of the town within easy commute from Gloucester, Cheltenham with good transport links. The Centre delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. It specialises in slow stream rehabilitation where the emphasis is placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
