Role: Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Caritas Futures are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to work with a well-known charity. This role will be office and home-based for a minimum of 3 months.
Duties:
1. Working closely with high-risk victims of domestic violence to provide a high-quality independent advocacy and support service.
2. Managing a caseload.
3. Supporting clients over the phone and video calls, providing both crisis management and ongoing support.
4. Assessing referrals, signposting to additional services, and supporting clients.
5. Advocating on clients' behalf and advising clients on all aspects of the criminal justice system.
6. Assisting clients with witness statements, advising on legal options, and signposting to Legal Services.
Essential Requirements:
1. Extensive experience supporting and advocating on behalf of domestic violence victims.
2. Ability to crisis manage and work well under pressure.
3. Strong organization and diary management skills.
4. Proven success in carrying and managing a high caseload.
5. Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months.
