YOUR IMPACT
The Private Credit business at Goldman Sachs Asset Management is one of the world's largest alternative credit investing platforms with approximately $113bn of AUM and investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Hybrid Capital provides flexible solutions for businesses seeking non-control alternatives to traditional private equity or greater flexibility than traditional debt. We deploy the West Street Strategic Solutions Fund I, a $14bn fund raised in 2020.
Executive Directors work as part of small deal teams in a wide range of high-profile transactions across the capital structure ranging from secured debt to minoritymon equity. The role is highly analytical with emphasis on leading the team's work on fundamental valuation, financial modelling, analysis of financial accounts, and legal documentation. The work is deal-focused and dynamic and will bring you in contact with a wide range of businesses, industries, geographies, investment structures and products as well as advisors and management teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Engaging in all and leading select aspects of the due diligence process and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses
2. Structuring, negotiating and documenting investments
3. Leading and developing junior members of the investment team
4. Actively monitoring existing investments in the portfolio
5. Building relationships with potential partners and counterparties, management teams, external advisors and internal GS colleagues across various businesses and functions
6. Extensive financial modeling and valuation work
7. Industry andpany specific due diligence (research, management meetings, and investor presentations)
8. Prepare and present investment memos
QUALIFICATIONS
9. Undergraduate bachelor's degree required; Minimum of 7 years of investment banking or principal investing experience
10. Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
11. Passion for investing with specific interest in credit / other structured products
12. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills
13. Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses
14. Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
15. Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people
