Head Receptionist Wanted!
Join our dynamic team at The Lawrie Veterinary Group, a thriving practice dedicated to small animal and exotic pet care across Cumbernauld, Falkirk, and Bo'Ness. As we expand into new territories, including our innovative Healthy Pet Centre in Falkirk, we are seeking a Head Receptionist to lead our reception team across all four of our bustling sites. You will be based at all four of our vibrant practice locations in Cumbernauld, Falkirk, and Bo'Ness.
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week including 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Role Overview
As Head Receptionist, you will be the face of our practice, greeting clients warmly, providing expert guidance, and ensuring seamless appointment scheduling and payment processing. This pivotal role involves managing and developing our reception team to uphold our high standards of customer care. Collaborating closely with the Practice Manager and Clinical Director, you will contribute to business development initiatives and promote continuous improvement throughout our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor our reception team to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
2. Ensure the smooth operation of reception duties across all sites, maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
3. Provide administrative support to the clinical team, utilizing Microsoft packages and email proficiently.
4. Handle cash transactions and navigate sensitive client conversations with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience in a service-oriented role is essential, with veterinary industry experience preferred.
2. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
3. Kindness and empathy in client interactions, balanced with a professional demeanor.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general office administration.
