About the Role:
JMS Midlands is a part of the JMS Group of companies thatemploy 45 staff undertaking civil & structural engineeringdesigns and has been serving the Construction Industry for over 25years.
We have an opening for a SeniorStructural Engineer to join our team at our Nuneaton office toundertake designs on a variety of projects from small domesticextensions to large multistorey apartment and office developments.Working alongside colleagues within the local office as well asthose in other parts of the Group you will be encouraged to developyour design experience and skills and be supported to obtainaccreditation to the Institute of Structural Engineers.
With project costs up to 12m and the use of the latestdesign software the role offers an exciting opportunity to engagein impactful highvalue projects. A competitive salary will beoffered commensurate with the importance of this role within ourcompany.

Responsibilities:
* Lead an Engineering cost centre(s) for ourMidland Region.
* Use latest design software tocreate and manage structural designs.
* Liaisewith key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with teammembers and stakeholders.
* Ensure projects areappropriately resourced delegating work to team members programmingdeliverables and monitoring progress.
* Providesupport and guidance to junior staff fostering their developmentand progression.
* Prepare calculations drawingsdetails specifications and reports for a wide range of structuresand materials
* Implement Company policies andensure adherence across your team.
* Monitor andoversee project budgets and staff resources for projectsundertaken.
* Develop existing customerrelationships and promote JMSs services.
* Assistin achieving targeted revenues from current and newcustomers.
Qualifications:
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would beadvantageous
* Bachelors degree in Civil orStructural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degreepreferred).
* Minimum of 4 years of professionalexperience in structural engineering.
* Proventrack record of cost estimation and projectmanagement.
* Prior experience working withhistoric buildings is highly desirable.
