About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a rotational shift pattern. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintenance Tasks
o Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
o Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
o Carry out installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
* Collaboration and Support
o Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and improve efficiency.
o Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
* Health and Safety
o Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Record Keeping and Continuous Improvement
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault logs and maintenance schedules.
o Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* A balanced skill set in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
* Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and nights.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A meticulous approach to work, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
