BCMGlobal is seeking a dedicated Compliance Associate to join our dynamic team based in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity for a Compliance professional looking to progress their career within a regulated financial environment. As part of our compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that BCMGlobal operates in accordance with UK laws, regulations, and internal policies, with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering and'Know Your Customer’/Customer Due Diligence. Working in close collaboration within the Compliance Team along with multiple departments across the business, working in line with client KPI’S, ensuring transparency and communication around compliance matters. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the completion of AML activities, including screening and due diligence for corporate clients, both private and public limited companies. Record and investigate Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), escalating to external authorities as necessary. Support the monitoring of borrower transactions to identify and report suspicious activities. Conduct screening of borrowers against sanctions lists, adverse media, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) databases. Prepare compliance-related reports and presentations for senior management, clients, and key stakeholders. Support the review and upkeep of compliance policies and procedures. Ensure compliance records are accurate, complete, and up to date. Assist in preparing for internal and external audits and contribute to ensuring adherence to FCA and AML regulations. Improve AML processes and contribute to the development of the compliance function. Essential Skills & Experience: Solid understanding of AML regulations, KYC/CDD processes, and related FCA guidance. Ideally candidates will also have 3 years of experience in financial services compliance, or regulatory roles. Strong command of Microsoft Office applications. High standards of ethical conduct, demonstrating integrity and professionalism. Core Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to assess situations, evaluate options, and provide practical solutions. Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to work under deadlines with competing priorities. Capable of reviewing complex information accurately and thoroughly.
