Marketing Project Manager
Job Overview
IWG is seeking a competent and detail-orientated Marketing Project Manager to work in the Marketing Production Team and support on managing global projects. This role is key in supporting the Head of Production with their overarching responsibility in organising, planning and delivering projects across the marketing department. The role requires a number of disciplines and requires exceptional organisation, planning and management skills as well as attention to detail. As a project manager you must be adept and comfortable managing multiple projects whilst also ensuring best-in-class project delivery standards are being met.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding in project management as a discipline, be detail oriented, an excellent organiser, a strong communicator and have a good understanding of marketing. The role reports into the Head of Production and will support their vision and strategy so that as a team they can organise and deliver world-class projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop a strong understanding of Project Management (PM) policies, standards, and requirements.
* Draft key project documents such as initiation and scoping artefacts for review by Programme Managers.
* Coordinate working groups with project owners, draft meeting minutes, record attendance, and track follow-ups.
* Organize and facilitate meetings and workshops, ensuring stakeholder engagement and action tracking.
* Maintain issue trackers and create progress reports for senior management meetings.
* Follow up with issues and risks with owners across departments to obtain monthly status updates.
* Review status updates to ensure they are clear, concise, and actionable.
* Monitor upcoming milestones, deliverables, budget and due dates, ensuring timely completion.
* Support all PM team to ensure adherence to PM standards.
* Respond to ad-hoc requests for governance and standard project status reports.
* Assist and support with other ad-hoc tasks as required.
* Liaise with Business PMOs, reporting and sharing best practices.
* Assist in the maintenance of Processes, Standards & Templates.
Key Skills Required
* Strong oral and written communication skills – ability to articulate issues and provide clear status updates.
* Comprehensive analytical skills incorporating problem-solving and follow-up capabilities.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
* Highly organized and structured approach to project management and team management.
* Ability to multi-task and track multiple workstreams effectively.
Qualifications
* 4+ years of experience in project management or a related field, with a focus on marketing and/or operations.
* Proven experience in project management with a strong emphasis on maintaining standards and ensuring timely delivery.
* Experience of working in a sales-driven organisation.
* Strong communication skills and a background in working with agencies and multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow and adhere to guidelines and direction.
* A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional projects.
* A relevant certification in Prince 2 or equivalent would be beneficial.
* Based in an EU time zone (or the US, our largest market) to facilitate team collaboration and agency management.
